This water buffalo bone mala is handmade in Nepal. The long mala measures 26 inches in total length plus the extra 1 inch long bead as the guru bead with its silky tan-colored threads, and has 108 beads for counting prayers. Each bead has been hand-drilled and -strung, and then carved, so they are not perfectly round like a factory made bead.
