This auction is for an extremely fine, antique (c.1900's) and very difficult to find 2-piece Sterling silver salad serving set by Tiffany & Co. in their highly collectible and rare ST. JAMES pattern of 1898. These gorgeous servers measure 10" long and are finely crafted from heavy gauge Sterling silver (combined weight on my postal scales is 8 ounces of the precious alloy). Sport lovely gilded implements. Back of handles are marked Tiffany & Co. + Sterling + 1898. Found in extremely good antique condition. Sport the period monogram of the letters "JCD" in an old style scroll. Show no areas of unsightly damage or repairs. Just light surface scratches, a very small area of loss to gilding (underside of bowls, only visible from a very close distance) + tarnish commensurate with age and gentle use.
