Timeshare - Fort Myers Area - LeHigh Acres, Week 52

This listing is for a timeshare at the Lehigh Resort Club, about 25 miles east of Fort Myers, Florida.  The focus of this resort is golf and family.  The resort is quite well kept up.  It is set well back from the road, so it is quiet.

This unit is number 814, the week being sold is #52.  This is usually a few days after Christmas until a few days after New Year's.

The annual maintenance fee is about $630.  This amount has been paid for 2009.  This 2009 fee is for the week of Dec 26 2009 through Jan 2 2010.

The 2010 fee is due by February 1, 2010.

If you purchase and close before the 2009 week, you get the 2009 week included for no additional charge.  For this to be an option, we would need to close a few weeks before Dec 26, to allow proper notification of the resort management.

The Fort Myers Airport is a very direct twenty minute drive from Lehigh, the distance to the airport is about thirteen miles.

The pictures in the slideshow are of the timeshare for sale in this auction (unit 814).  The pictures were taken in January of 2008.  This building (and all of the resort) are in very good repair.  This unit is on the upper floor (all of the buildings have two floors).  The living room and bedroom face out onto the golf course. 

This unit will sleep four people comfortably.  There is a queen size bed in the bedroom.  In the living room is a sofa big enough to sleep on, and also a Murphy Bed that folds down from the wall.

There are laundry facilities under the stairs in front of the building.  The unit has all the normal appliances and amenities - full kitchen with stove, fridge and dishwasher, air conditioning, ceiling fans in the living room, bedroom and on the porch.  Hi-speed internet is available in the room if you want to rent an adapter (I think it is $10 a week).  WiFi is available inside and outside of the activities building (look for the rocking chairs for the best WiFi signal).

Lehigh Resort has a variety of activities available on-site and close by.  The resort owns a nine-hole golf course, which includes a driving range.  There are several other courses close by.

There are a number of family activities on-site.  There is a large pool, a smaller hot tub, and a kiddie pool similar in size to the hot tub.  There is a barbecue area and gazebo, where there are activities almost every day.  There is a miniature golf course, and an activity building with a computer room, and a meeting room where movies are shown several nights a week.

The resort calendar includes a Week 53 in 2011.  My understanding is that Lehigh offers Week 53 to the Week 52 owner.  This would give you the option of a two week vacation from December 24, 2011 until January 7, 2012.  You would need to pay the annual maintenance fee for the second week, but it's at the same rate (which is around 2/3 of the cost of an equivalent hotel room).

The town of Lehigh Acres is about a twelve mile drive east of I-75, which is the main North - South interstate between Naples and Tampa.  The town has a typical mix of local and chain restaurants, and there is a Walmart in town.
