Here is the definitive story of JRR Tolkien which is the basis for most biographies of his life written since. Extensively researched, using Tolkien's private papers and interviews with friends and family (and Tolkien himself), this book has been the standard text for 30 years. Several pictures on glossy paper throughout the book. A "must have" for any serious student of Tolkien's life and work.

Excellent very gently used condition with very slight edge wear. Unclipped dust jacket is very nice, with a bit of price sticker remnant on the front flap. Jacket has been placed in a removable mylar cover for protection. Top page edges painted brown as called for on the regular trade edition. Pages are very clean and mark-free with no inscription. Some very light foxing is present on the fore-edge of the pages only. Pictures are of the actual book offered. Please ask if you have any questions.
