The Hildebrandt cover was used on this edition beginning with the 11th printing. The 11th and 12th printings used the brown border, while later printings use a white boarder. The brown border is much harder to find.

JRR Tolkien, famous for The Lord of the Rings, also wrote some enchanting shorter works.  Whether you have had trouble plowing through the Rings Series, or devoured them and want more, these two shorter tales just might do the trick.  As an added bonus, you can read these from a classic vintage paperback with original illustrations.  Or you may want to preserve this nice copy for posterity.  A great bargain for either purpose!

Book is in good tight condition with light reading bends, creased corner, and a small indent in the front cover. Pages are clean, crisp and unmarked with light age yellowing.
