Posted for your immense pleasure is this Top of the Line Paiste 2002 20" NOVO CHINA that is in IMMACULATE Condition. Check out the pictures! I am happy to report that there are
NO
nicks, cracks, dings--NOTHING! This cymbal looks brand new!!
Many people immediately think of Zildjian when they hear the word "cymbal." However Paiste has been at the vanguard of cymbal inventions for decades. Examples of their creative spirit include the flat ride (yes Paiste was first) the unlathed but hammered RUDE series, and this inverted NOVO China. (If you know of more please write.)
Paiste describes this cymbal as:
"Very bright, slightly trashy, full, exotic. Wide range, complex mix. Fast, responsive, explosive crash, loud, clear defined bell. Very unique, versatile china for flexible application."
What's makes the Novo China unique is that while all other Chinas have a flanged edge that curves upwards, the Novo has a flanged edge that curves DOWNWARDS. Hence you don't have to hang it "upside down." In addition, the bell is graduated or dome shaped-unlike Paiste's traditional vertical bell they use on their China's.
Another endearing quality this 20" NOVO has is its medium-thin weight...only 1685 grams. The pitch of this inverted gem is medium LOW and the tone is exotic and fairly mellow. The sustain is medium to medium long. When crashed upon hard, this NOVO does have an aggressive attack. It slices.
You can use this 20" Paiste NOVO 2002 China on anything you want. Rock, funk, blues, fusion, blusion, reggae, country, certainly recordings, and anytime you need a great med-thin mellow EXOTIC Paiste China, that does CUT.
AND this one is PERFECT!!
So do yourself a favor and grab this Top of the Line PERFECT Condition Paiste 2002 20" NOVO China.
