Copper Into Gold – Eve Myles Exclusive
Eve Myles talks about her journey from curious constable to the heart of Torchwood, as deputy leader and organiser extraordinaire Gwen Cooper. One thing that's apparent from the first episode of series two onwards, is that it's a slightly different Gwen we're seeing this time round. Myles agrees: “She has to be more switched on than ever, because she's protecting the people she loves. The wonderful thing about Gwen is that she'll never stop being frightened. She's a young girl, not a robot. But she's got a job and she does it."

Behind the scenes features
Torchwood magazine goes behind the scenes with Visual FX Coordinator Marie Jones and her team at The Mill, the company responsible for all the computer generated effects on Torchwood. Discover the story behind the building of the 51st Century Boeshane Peninsula for episode five, Adam, and get the buzz on one of the most ambitious effects ever seen in Torchwood, the terrifying Mayfly! Plus, get the story behind a whale of a project, the huge computer-generated creature at the heart of episode four, Meat.

Star Interviews
A familiar face from US shows such as Ugly Betty, Lost and 24, Alan Dale injects some Hollywood glamour into episode six, Reset. Dale has certainly come a long way since playing Jim Robinson in Australian soap Neighbours in the mid-1980s, and he reveals to Torchwood magazine why he was attracted to the UK for a guest part in Torchwood as sinister villain Copley. Plus, Bryan Dick talks about his role as Adam, the insidious memory thief who walks into Torchwood like an old friend in episode five of the new series.
