Triceratops

1-1/4" Lapel Pin
Meaning of Name:  “three-horned face”
Period:  Late Cretaceous (72 - 65 million years ago)
Length:  30 feet    Weight:  6 - 12 tons
Diet:  Plant-eater (herbivore)
Location:  Montana, South Dakota, Colorado,
Wyoming, and in the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta.

It is believed that Triceratops was probably a feisty animal because many specimens have bones damaged from combats with rivals or predators.

A special collector lapel pin album was designed to hold this and 8 other dinosaur pins.  The pins and album are sold individually and as a set.  Please e-mail questions.
