500Watt UPS With True Sinewave Output - Less Battery NOTE: I will repeat- this is a TRUE SINE OUTPUT device, NOT a MODIFIED SINE WAVE / DIGITAL MOSFET TYPE DEVICE! IT IS REAL TRUE SINE WAVE! If you do not know the difference, then it is probably overkill! This thing is heavy due to the transformer inside, the battery compartment is large enough to hold about 4 or 5 motorcycle batteries! I suggest a 20+ amp hour battery to last for a reasonable time, after all, it draws 44amps at full load from the battery. So go with the largest that fits! It uses a 12volt battery, and the clamping mount for the battery is adjustable for different size batteries. It draws just less than 9amps with no load. It is equipped with 4 power outlets on rear of unit. The fan is rather noisy so I suggest this unit for those who need REAL SINE wave power. It is a very heavy duty design indeed, the entire face of the unit unscrews from the center of the face with a large screw, and the case slides forward to reveal the guts and the battery compartment. I verified the output of this unit with an O-Scope, and it is a quality pure sinewave. Can be used as an inverter if you hook up a longer battery cable to run wires externally to a car battery, and it will charge the battery also when AC is present. It measures 21.5 inches Deep x 12" High x 10" wide. 50 pounds
