One of many items from the estate of a retired radio, TV, telephone, and electronics repair-salesman. His name was Hugo Oliver and his amateur radio call sign was W2HQF. There are many vacuum tubes, others parts, consumer electronics, tools and test equipment to be had; I will be listing these in the months to come.
This is for ONE RCA 5915 heptode, miniature vacuum tube, it is unused or lightly used. I have a 1963 Tube Caddy substitution guidebook stating that the 5915 is an excellent (as opposed to good) DIRECT substitution. It comes in a box that was originally for another tube and re-labeled. It was in a large box with some NOS tubes in original boxes as well as others that had been relabeled. I think the gentleman bought some tubes in bulk boxes and when a box got to a certain emptiness, repackaged the tubes to save space. Tube has "5915" in a long hexagonal brand and also marked in white "RCA ELECTRON TUBE MADE IN USA"
, date codes; 1 is "3-52" and 1 is "4-09". Dark grey cylindrical plates and a square getter. On my Sencor TC28 Tube Tester, they both tested strong on all tests; shorts, emission, life test, and grid leakage. And on my recently acquired, early 1950s EICO Model 625 Tube Tester they both passed all tests for shorts, open elements, and filament continuity. Also both scoring 86 out of 100 for emission; I have no way of knowing what a new tube is supposed to score. Tubes will be retested before shipping.
This item will be shipped in a well packed box. I can ship up to 4 of this size tube for close to the above quoted price of one, domestically. Internationally, shipping multiple tubes may cost a little more than one because of extra padding for a longer journey. Combined shipping is available on all but the heaviest items (70 pounds USPS max). Shipping insurance coverage for this item is NOT included in the shipping price quoted above. Please contact me if you would prefer otherwise.
