On the back of this unused postcard it says:

The Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse one of the largest of the German mail streamers, at the declaration of war cleared from New York, and as an armed merchantman, commenced raiding the Pacificl Having sunk the “Kalpara” and the “Nyanga,” on august 27. It was announced that she herself had been sunk, on the West Coast of Africa by H.M.S. “Highflyer

There is some corner wear but rips or creases.
