Tuning Meter 121A Federal Telephone & Radio Corp.

This is a vintage, Federal DC micro-ampere tuning meter of unknown age. I believe the case to be made of mahogany and the unit is, overall, in good to very good cosmetic condition. The top of the case can be removed because the hinge pins are only fixed to the bottom half of the case. The toggle switch is for reversing the polarity delivered to the meter. I tried to test the unit's functionality and found that it does not work. I removed the brass wood screws from the back and found nothing drastically wrong. The meter has a resistance of 10,500 ohms so it's neither shorted or open circuit. The meter is marked “MICROAMPERES D.C. WESTON MODEL 301” along with the FTR Federal Telephone & Radio logo, these older meters can be taken apart so it might be repairable. Closed, the case measures 4” wide x 5.5” deep x 3.5” tall; 1#, 8 oz actual weight. In a separate auction I have a 50 micro-ampere meter made by Simpson for Federal, it is the same physical size with the same mounting holes so it will work as a replacement.
