Outside Filter Accessory Kit
The Outside Power Filter is the most popular Filter System and generally is the least expensive. The major disadvantage to many outside power filters are that they contain little or no biological media compared to Undergravel or Canister Filters. We feel this disadvantage is reduced with the Hagen Power filter with biomax biological media. This Kit contains everything you need to set up one of our 20 to 30 gallon Aquarium, Stand & Hood Combo's. This Kit includes a Model 50 Hagen AquaClear Outside Power Filter, 150 Watt Glass Submersible Heater, Hagen Digital Thermometer, 2 Sided Background. Hagen AquaClear 50 Outside Power Filter - The only Eco-Friendly (no throw away cartridges) Three Stage Outside PowerFilter. 1st stage is a easy clean foam filter block (not a costly throw-away filter cartridge like most Outside PowerFilters). 2nd stage contains chemical media (Activated Carbon included) which can be removed when medicating. Or can be substituted with other waste removal media (Ammonia removers etc,). 3rd stage is a biomax biological media which expands the biological capacity of your aquarium which improves tank stability and fish capacity.
