A superbly executed large format antique chromolithograph entitled,
U.S. ARMY - INFANTRY ATTACKING SNAKE RIVER INDIANS NEAR OWYHEE RIVER - 1880
Oregon.
From " The United States Army And Navy " by Lieutenant - Colonel A.Wagner and Commander J.D.Kelley which details the history of these two forces from revolution to the end of the Spanish - American war.
This an original chromolithograph print published in 1899 by The Werner Company and not to be confused with later issues or reprints.
Three small marginal tears, all repaired verso and a light crease lower left hand corner as evident from the scan, otherwise fine condition with bright, rich colouring.
Measuring approx. 13" x 9" (330mm x 230mm) image area only with titled margins beyond , perfect for framing.
