A Knowledge of Physics and Car Building Experience are two keys to building the Fastest Pinewood Derby Cars. Fortunately, I have BOTH! I have been teaching Physics for over  20 years and building winning scout Pinewood Derby Cars even longer. During my summers, I even teach a Non-Credit Course in Pinewood Derby Physics to teenagers at the local community college. I have MASTERED the SCIENCE and ART of building Pinewood Derby Cars!  Over the years  with my Physics Club at school and at home in my workshop, I have easily made over 1,000 cars. I put as much time and effort into each Ebay car that I sell as I do my own sons’ District and Council championship cars.

 I use Official BSA Grand Prix Kits. My cars are the official length, width, wheelbase, and weight. (5 ounces or 141.75 grams---checked on my triple beam balance.)

My cars are ONLY weighted with TUNGSTEN Cylinders and Tungsten Putty.----TUNGSTEN is a NON-TOXIC Metal that is much denser than TOXIC LEAD. (I would not want my scouts handling a car weighted with TOXIC LEAD, and you shouldn't either.) Many builders weight their cars with lead because it is cheaper. Tungsten is expensive, but by using this very dense metal, I can utilize a slim or holed body design and keep the CENTER OF MASS exactly where it needs to be. Before considering the purchase of any Pinewood Derby Car, I would ask if it is weighted with super dense SAFE TUNGSTEN or HIGHLY TOXIC LEAD. There is NO POISON in my cars!

No matter which of my designs that I use, I know the exact location to place the weight for OPTIMUM SPEED and SPEED RETENTION. You will be amazed as my car seems to GAIN MOMENTUM on the flat part of the track. When other cars slow down on the flats, my cars appear to "kick into a higher gear" and really take off to the finish line!  All of my cars are track tested before they are listed. I leave nothing to chance. If a car does not meet my strictest speed standards, I remove the tungsten weight and scrap it (honestly).

My cars may not have fancy air-brushed or flaming paint jobs, but they do look exceptionally nice. The simple and fastest designs that I construct maintain that basement workshop look, but they scream, "I'm ready for a COUNCIL CHAMPIONSHIP!"  I prime and sand my cars to Ultra fine 1000 grit and use top notch colorful paint for finishing. My cars are solid color beauties, so your scout can apply decals and numbers to his liking.

Your car will come all pre-lubed with MY blended graphite/molybdenum lube--a dry lubricant--legal in ALL PACKS.  Your Car will be received RACE READY. I package all cars extremely well, and I ship them ALL IMMEDIATELY !

There are many pinewood derby car sellers on Ebay - each claiming to make the best product. When purchasing anything on Ebay, I usually trust the prior buyers’ remarks more than the sellers advertisements.
