 Nifontovite is an extremely rare borate that is almost always opaque and or microscopic.  This past fall, a very small find of nifontovite crystals was discovered in Mexico and it produced some of the largest and by far the cleanest crystals ever discovered in the world!!  I was very lucky to find a couple of pieces that I was able to have cut.  I have spent a lot of time searching and I have not found even a picture of another faceted nifontovite and it is probably the rarest gem that I have ever owned.  There are a couple of very minor inclusions, but the gem faces nearly eyeclean and it has very nice brilliance. Because it is colorless, it is very diffucult to photograph and it is MUCH nicer in person than in my pictures.  Don't hesitate on this one, I don't expect it to last for long.
