Not often on Ebay: The 13 yo Michael Rabin plays a selection of Paganini's Caprices Op. 1, (5, 18, 21, 11, 13, 16, 9, 1, 14, 17, 24), on this very early Columbia 7" mono blue label. ML 2168 <p>
Record has scuffs and marks but plays through and for the most part retains the purity of Rabin's dazzling and often mesmerizing technique and tone. Surface noise, (tested on VPI Scoutmaster/Dynavector cart) is present but overall surprisingly subdued during playing, and only a few patches of repeated, subdued clicks. No jarring pops. Record cleaned and played multiple times to clear out any dust and impurities. Spindle marks on label.GOLDMINE GRADING STANDARD: VG. <p>
