 monumentally sized and exquisitely carved opal cameo pendant
that provides in hand, without any type of enhancers and in
broad daylight, an extraordinary non-stop multi-color light show
as if science fiction had become science fact

14k yellow gold Opal Pendant most likely
carved mid-twentieth century by an unknown
maker, with a total weight of 81.74 grams and
measuring approximately 71 mm x 48 mm 
including a large 14k yellow gold bail

pendant contains one 71 mm x 48 mm oval-
shaped Australian Grey Opal Cameo, with carved
 profile of a female with elaborate hairdo, headband,
jewelry and floral corsage

opal has bright greenish, bluish, reddish and
pink overtones, is semi-opaque, shows light natural
internal crazing and weighs approximately 225 ct

 cameo is set in a 14k yellow gold 9 mm wide
shiny bezel that is burnished set with 18 round
diamonds, approximately 0.04 ct each, for a total
diamond weight of 0.72 ct

appraised by Swiss Jewelers November 12, 2008,
with an estimated replacement value of $25,000.00
