Description: Black leather boards with gilt lettering on spine, embossed decorations and borders on spine and covers. Shelfwear to spine includes bumping to head of spine resulting in 2 small (2 cm.) closed tears at head of spine. Slight bumps to foot of spine and corners. Bottom front corner has some fraying. Binding is nice and tight (back hinge is loose). Previous owners' marks on front endpaper; otherwise, pages are clean and bright--no marks, rips, or dog-ears. Overall, this beautiful antique leather-bound book is in Fine condition (book is over 140 years old!).
