RARE Apple IIe Platinum 128K computer, UNUSED in original matching Box! Beautiful Collector's system!





Unbelievable find!  Unused Apple IIe Platinum, in original Apple factory box (matching serial #), original packing materials, and the original sealed IIe Platinum accessory kit!  Kit includes power cord, Touch of Applesoft BASIC, and tucked in behind that manual will be the IIe owner's manual, which can't be seen because the kit is sealed!  The IIe unit is pristine, brand new, unused, spotless condition.  This could be the very last IIe in existence to be in unused condition!  Very collectible and will be the highlight of your vintage Apple collection!  Ready to set up and proudly display, there simply is none nicer than this!  Photos can't do it justice, the exterior and interior are spotless!  Stored properly inside in its box and from non-smoking home.  A truly rare find!

This was the final version of the Apple II series, the IIe Platinum was produced from 1987-1993.  Has the built in keypad, platinum color case (earlier IIe systems were beige), Extended 80-column/64K RAM expansion card pre-installed, for a total of 128K of RAM.  Motherboard is dated 1986/1987 on this system.

How did this vintage IIe end up never being used?  The original owner obtained this as a replacement system from an insurance claim, and while waiting for this to arrive he purchased a new IIGS to use, so when this system arrived he just didn't need it.  The box was opened and the wrap around the computer opened, but then put it back in the box where it has been ever since.  No cards ever installed, rear slot tabs never removed, computer never set up or in use which is evident when you see this beauty!  As you can see from the photos the IIe is pristine, a word that I rarely use to describe vintage computers as most have been used to some degree, but the description fits with this unused vintage system!

I did set up and tested the computer to make sure it functions properly.  Sytem beeps and green power light comes on when you flip switch, diplay output is clear and bright, Applesoft BASIC works, each and every key tested and working, computer is fully functional as new.  I have handled this computer with great care while testing and taking the photos. It is now carefully packed back in the box ready to go!  When the original owner first opened this he tore the clear pink interior bag over the computer, and two of the original styrofoam pieces were broken but are now nicely taped together in one piece and work fine.  The original Apple shipping box is in very good condition and will of course be packaged inside an outer box for protection in transit.
