This is a distinctive note.  This HARDER TO FIND--LARGE SIZE NOTE, its the 1914 $5.00 FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE in VERY GOOD condition, but you can judge for yourself to make the final decision with the photos which can be enlarged.  It has the signature combination of BURKE-McADOO.  It was issued years before the introduction of small size notes that we use today.   It is from the KANSAS CITY Fed Bank.   Book value is $65+.  It is the "A Type" variety. 

The note is not very clean but has 4 full corners, it has good color contrast with no writing, ink or missing pieces.   There are many visible folds and the edges are well worn.  There are no pin holes and the edge splits seem limited to the margins only.  This is a good example of old paper money especially for a large size note which are often pretty worn out when they are found.  The BLUE Seal is Large and on the right side.  

The art work on these classic old large notes was outstanding.  In this case on the reverse you can see two scenes, one of Columbus making the sighting of land in the New World in 1492 and the other is the Pilgrims landing at Plymouth Rock in 1620.

Book value is $65.00 in VERY GOOD condition, $500 in CU, so place a bid and enjoy a bargain.   Some retailers and Shop at Home TV charge much more that book value for this note when they can find it.  This note does not come up for auction very often and it often sells for well over book value even on Ebay!  So if you need it to add something special to your currency collection this may be just the opportunity, don't let it slip by. 

According to the "2009 Blackbook Price Guide to US Paper Money", this note has gone up 60% in value in the last 3 years alone!!!!!
