US CURRENCY 1923 LARGE $1 SILVER C Old Paper Money VF-

1923 LARGE SIZE $1 NOTE 

This note is distinctively different from most Silver Certificates.  It is the 1923 $1.00 LARGE SILVER CERTIFICATE, in VERY FINE(-)  condition in my opinion, but you can judge for yourself to make the final decision with the photos above, which you can enlarge.  It has the signature combination of SPEELMAN/WHITE.  It was issued only from 1923-1927, just before the introduction of small size notes that we use today.

The note is crisp and very clean, has all 4 full corners. It has excellent color contrast with no writing, ink, tears, holes or missing pieces .  There are visible folds and wrinkles.  The edges are sharp and smooth except for the verticle fold line on the right side where you can see errosion on the top and bottom at that fold line.   This is a really good, and exceptionally attractive example of old paper money especially for a large size note which are often pretty worn out when they are found.  The Blue Seal is Large, on the left side and is striking. 

Book value is $55.00 in regular very fine condition, $175 in CU, so place a bid and enjoy a bargain.   Some retailers and Shop at Home TV charge much more that book value for this note when they can find it.  This note does not come up for auction very often and in Very Fine condition often sells for well over $80 even on Ebay!  So if you need it to add something special to your silver certificate collection this may be your only opportunity, don't let it slip by.
