U.S. GRANT on TWO SEQUENTIAL NOTES

Each has the BIG LIGHT GREEN SEAL that distinguishes them from all other series, a must for any small note collection.  They were issued during a very historic period for the United States .  The 1934 has the signatures of Julian/Morgenthau and was issued during the Great Depression.  It would have represented 1 weeks pay for well paid worker and in an era when the United State produced all its own oil it would have bought nearly 500 gallons of gas!

Book value for the 2 notes is $500.00 for in CU condition, but retailers and Shop at Home TV often charge more just because they are so old and the BIG light green seal is unusual.  It is also rarer than the darker variety of green ink.  The 2 notes are sharp, bright and perfectly clean with no tears, writing, ink, holes, etc.   They are CRISP AND CLEAN.   There are no holes, tears, or any damage of any kind and no other faults show up in the detailed scans.  One has a partial flattened fold and one has a little bit of upper edge crumpling.  both of these are from poor storage at some point over the last 70 years.  They were never in circulation and never seperated.  That puts a premium on these notes well above their individual value.  So we have two in sequence and the light green ink, both adding value that I'm not charging for!

I'd rate them CHOICE ABOUT UNCIRCULATED,  but you be the final judge with the photos which you can enlarge.
