2003★ U.S. FEDERAL RESERVE $100.00 *STAR* NOTE

BEN FRANKLIN ON A GEM UNCIRCULATED *STAR* NOTE

It has the DARK GREEN SEAL that distinguishes it from most earlier series, a must for any small note collection.  It was issued during a very historic period for the United States .  The 2003★ star note has the signatures of Martin and Snow and was issued during the last year of the George Bush Administration's first term using the new anti-counterfeiting high tech design as a transition to the colorized notes.  It would have represented 2 days pay for an average minimum wage worker at that time!  This note was issued from 2004-2006.  Then Mrs Marin left the office of Treasurere and the 2003A series was issued in early 2007, but then Secretary of the Treasury John Snow resigned ending that series in mid 2007.  So both of the 2003 notes with Sec. Snow's signature are now out of print!

Book value for the note is $250.00 for this condition, but retailers and Shop at Home TV often charge more just because they are already out of print and harder to find in CU.  This note is sharp, bright and very clean with no tears, writing, ink, holes, etc.   It has 4 full sharp corners.  It is CRISP AND CLEAN.   It shows no faults and it is perfect in every way and this shows up in the detailed scans. 

I'd rate it a solid CRISP GEM UNCIRCULATED,  but you be the final judge with the photos which you can enlarge.  I have only two of these on offer, buy one or both.  The serial numbers are sequential.  Otherwise they are identical.  They were issued by the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank.
