US D Day Invasion Cricket Signal Device

A fully functioning reproduction of the Cricket signaling device used by US Airborne Troops on D-Day as seen in the TV series 'Band of Brothers' and the film 'The Longest Day.'
The cricket allowed paratroopers scattered at night in enemy territory to identify friendly forces. When squeezed, it emits a 'click'. One click was to be answered by two clicks. Crickets were distributed primarily to the members of the 101st Airborne Division 'The Screaming Eagles'.
