Kevlar Helmet Chin Strap

 

Original early issue chin strap for use with the PASGT Kevlar helmet, entire chin cup portion of strap was made of OD green cotton webbing with nylon adjustment tabs on each end. It was soon found that the cotton strap wore out easily and it began to be replaced with a nylon version about 1985 [the nylon version is still in service].

Strap appears to have seen little if any use and would be correct for your 1982-83/Grenada period PASGT helmet. Ready to install, getting harder to find and in excellent condition.
