This is an 2008 Fender Deluxe Body & Tremolo which has been mated with a 2003 Fender American Standard Neck.  Both the neck and body are in near mint / excellent condition.  The following changes have been made:

* Pickups replaced with Klein S-5 Scooped Midrange. USA made in Texas http://www.kleinpickups.com/c-2-stratocaster-pickups.aspx  These pickups give this guitar a woody classic Strat tone with a scooped midrange.  The original pickups were the Fender noiseless which are not true single coils.  The Klein's are the real deal.  They are handwound and tested by Chris Klein, made to order.


* USA Fender Pickguard & Tremolo Cover White Pearl.  I upgraded both.  This combination looks great with the black body.

* Cloth wiring, CTS pots, Orange Drop tone pot and Fender 5 way USA switch.  Done right! 

* German made Schaller locking tuners. The ones with the F on them are made by Ping in Asia. These are much better.

* I supply a new Fender USA made Tolex case with this guitar.  It came with a plastic molded one.

The serial number on the neck is Z3085037 which would date this neck at 2003. The body is a 2008. Both are near mint. This has a pro setup with .010-.046 strings. Comes with a new Fender tolex case. An ATA case is also avaliable.  The original pop in tremolo arm is not shown but it is included of course.  I also have some case candy which includes the wrenches, manual, polish cloth and tags/decal.

This guitar is ready to rock with some great single coil tone and excellent action/feel.
