This item include two adapters..
USB A male to RJ 45 female adapter : be connected to the computer USB input port..
USB A female to RJ 45 female adapter : be connected to the USB device(such as Webcam)
Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat 6 patch cable (maximum 150ft) be used to connect between these two RJ 45 adapter...

Self-powered, no external power is required..
