There are some different models of Holga 120 series camera, we would like to introduce their detail features here :

Holga 120N : It’s the most simply and basic model in Holga 120 series. It’s lens is using Japan made plastic lens. It doesn’t have a flash but it has a hot shoe, so you can use any electronic external flash on it. It also have a shutter “B”, that’s mean you can use it when you need a long time exposure photo. You may need to use tripod when you need long time exposure, so Holga also provide a tripod socket for you to attach your Holga 120 camera on the tripod.

Holga 120FN : As above said, Holga 120N is the basic model of Holga 120 series, Holga 120FN is similar to Holga 120N except Holga 120FN has a internal flash. “F” stands for “flash”. Then Holga 120FN don’t have the hot shoe. The flash has an on/off button that you can use it or not according to you situation. If you don’t have external flash or you don’t want to buy a flash for your Holga. Holga 120FN is your best choice.

Holga 120CFN : It has been added a interesting features basic on the Holga 120FN. “C” is stands for “color”, so Holga 120CFN has a internal “Color” flash. It’s 4 different color filter in front of the flash, they are red, blue, yellow and original (no color/white). You can use it to take special effect photo. You can decide to turn it on or off like Holga 120FN too. It doesn’t have a hot shoe too. Except the color flash and the hot shoe, all other features are same as Holga 120N.

You may find there still have other Holga models in the market. They are Holga 120GN, Holga 120GFN and Holga 120GCFN. In fact their features are same as Holga 120N, Holga 120FN and Holga 120CFN except the lens. The “G” in the model name is stand for “Glass”, so all Holga 120 “G” series camera are using Japan made glass lens. It can provide sharper image quality when compare with plastic lens.
