You are bidding on a cover postmarked 1946 in escort aircraft carrier USS Casablanca CVE-55, with recent add-on photo cachet.

Uncommon (rarity B) provisional postmark dated 20-May-1946, Locy type T-P(C-17) on Scott #931 FDR Memorial. Addressed to Math J. Laudolf in Peebles WI. Typed text "POST OFFICE" and ship's rubber-stamp return address at top left. Printed cachet added within the past year by USCS 6927, photo of the postmark ship with the ship's name, current classification, and postmark date. Reverse blank with mounting stains. Age toning as shown in image. Good condition, flap open, no tears or damage.
