This United Design The Legend of Santa Claus Limited Edition Collection Sculpture titled "Lion and Lamb Santa, Victorian" is wonderfully detailed and in excellent condition. Its number is CF-048. Lion and Lamb Santa, Victorian was sculpted by Suzan Bradford. It is number 910 of a 7,500 piece limited edition. Included in this auction are the Santa Sculpture, the original Certificate of Authenticity, and the original box. The Sculpture and Certificate are in excellent condition. The box is in very good condition but as you can see, is yellowed from age. In this sculpture, Santa is kneeling beside a lion that is cuddled up with a lamb.
This is portrayed in Victorian colors--soft, muted colors. In this sculpture, Santa's coat and white are an off-white color rather than the traditional red. His face is a very light flesh tone rather than the regular flesh color. This would be beautiful in a home that is decorated in a Victorian theme or under a Victorian Christmas Tree.
The certificate says that this sculpture was copyright in 1993. These sculptures are wonderful to look at. It usually takes a few times of looking at them to catch all of the details. I have taken a few close-ups to show you that the sculptor even goes to the trouble of creating every detail from the details of Santa's beard to the texture of the clothes and Santa's sack. The coloring and details are very realistic and life-like. This retired item is very hard to find!
The sculpture is about 7 1/2" tall x 6 1/2" long x 5" wide. It is heavy so be careful when taking it out of the box!
My parents have an entire set of these. I will be listing almost all of them but it takes a while so please check my eBay store often. Thank you!
If you have any questions, please e-mail me. Thank you for looking at my auction and please check out my eBay store--you may find something else you like and I will gladly combine shipping!! Please keep in mind, when you rate me on shipping, that I do not make any money off of shipping. There is a $2.50 charge each of these Santas for "handling". That helps pay for the box I have to buy (which costs $2.50) and the bubble wrap and the insurance that I pay to insure it when I ship it. As you can see, I actually lose money on shipping. So, the higher shipping charges on these are just because they are heavy.
