University of Iowa Hawkeyes 8 foot Windmill - New

 
 

Lawn & Garden 8 foot University of Iowa Hawkeyes Windmill

Can also be used for your house number, yard light and many other uses.

These windmills are made in the USA and are a Collegiate Licensed Product. They are crafted from heavy gauge galvanized steel and then are powder coated.  The wheel is hand-balanced and rotates on two quality ball bearings.  There is a grease zerk on the wheel.  These windmills are built to last many, many years.  Every part of this windmill is quality made by an American manufacturer that has been in business for decades.  Do not be fooled by the cheap Chinese imports.
These windmills are scaled down versions of the windmills that used to be seen all over the Midwest on farms and ranches.  This one with the University of Iowa colors and the Hawkeyes logo will let people driving by see that you are a University of Iowa fan.  The windmill is Iowa Black  with a Iowa  Gold platform and  blade tips. 
The wheel is so well balanced that even a gentle breeze will make it turn.  Like all windmills the wheel will turn to the direction the wind is coming from.  As the wind changes direction it will change direction so it is always facing directly into the wind.  You will be able to tell the wind direction and velocity by looking at the windmill.
The windmill will arrive in a 30X25X5 inch box that weighs 37 lbs and is shipped UPS ground to your door.  They are easy to assemble.  It takes about 2 hours to put it together.  All that is needed is a screwdriver.  Included are 4 ground stakes to secure it.  These also can be mounted on a cement base if needed in areas of high winds.

 SHIPPING INFORMATION 

There will be a shipping cost above.  The shipping cost shown is for the lower 48 US States ONLY!!!   If you are in Canada or are an International Buyer you will receive an invoice and will be paying for the item only initally - there will be a separate invoice sent that will have the international shipping charges.  You will need to pay this second invoice when you receive it.  NOTE:  International orders will NOT be shipped until the International shipping is paid. It is possible that some international orders will have the US shipping price added. If this happens pay for the order.  We will add the additonal international shipping and send an additional invoice which must be paid before the item will be shipped.

We ship most items in the US USPS Priority and that is what the shipping rates are based on.  Some items that are too heavy or too large will be shipped by Parcel Post or FedEx Ground.  NOTE: Due to eBay's  mandatory maximum shipping charges on all media items -- ALL DVDs, RECORDS, BOOKS, TAPES, and Similar Media products will be shipped by media mail.  MEDIA MAIL CAN BE VERY SLOW - IT MAY TAKE SEVERAL WEEKS TO RECEIVE THESE ITEMS.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS -  please be certain you know what the shipping charges will be.  There is an estimated Canadian and an estimated International shipping cost in each items description .   Please look for this estimated shipping cost before you ask what the international shipping cost will be.  The Canadian and International shipping charges shown in the description are estimates only.  The actual shipping cost will be invoiced to you after you have checked out and paid for the item.   After the winning bidder receives this information then they are expected to complete this invoice so that we can get the item shipped to you. 

We DO NOT ship First Class International and we DO NOT ship using Priority International Letter or the Small Flat Rate Box.  The reasons we do not ship First Class International are because in many cases the shipping time is 6-8 weeks to Canada and often more than 8 weeks anywhere else in the world, the second reason is there is no tracking available for First Class International.  The reasons we DO NOT ship using the USPS Priority International Flat Rate Envelope or the Small Flat Rate box is there is no tracking or verification or insurance available at all!! I do realize that there are less expensive ways to ship items internationally - however the risks involved are far too great.  I have had too many items "lost" when I have used the USPS Priority Envelopes and the USPS Small Flat Rate Box.  I have had too many buyer complaints when First Class International was used and it took weeks for an item to arrive.  NOTE: It often takes up to 14 days for an item shipped USPS International to arrive after it is shipped.  If you are an international buyer and more than 14 days have passed since the day the item was shipped please contact us, we will do what we can to track the item for you. (most of the time when an item is slow it is at your countries customs)

COMBINED SHIPPING ON MORE THAN ONE ITEM 

We can and do combine shipping on multiple item orders. When you check out, each item in your order will show a shipping charge  Your total on your order will have shipping attached to each item.  When you pay with Pay Pal you will be paying the shipping as listed on each item.   If you have more that one item it will be combined into one order.  Once we have your order packaged is when we know what the total shipping costs will be. We refund any excess shipping back to your Pay Pal account when we create your shipping label.  

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS

We welcome International bidders. International buyers will be expected to pay actual shipping costs and any international fees we incur. The only language we speak and can read is English - please use English for questions and inquiries  All International shipments will be shipped USPS Priority International ONLY!!! The ONLY other way we ship internationally is USPS Express International if you want an item shipped USPS Express please tell us during the check out.   
The customs certificates will show the exact price you paid for an item.  We DO NOT mark items as "gifts", we state on the customs forms exacty what you paid for the item, what the item is and that the item is merchandise.  Doing anything other than that is illegal so please do not ask.

    First of all we are an eBay drop off store.  Most of the items we have available have been brought to our store by our clients.  Most of our items are things our clients no longer want, need or use.  These items may have been stored for weeks, months, years or even decades. There may also be items a client has recently obtained and never used.  We attempt to describe and photograph items so that prospective buyers know what they are getting.  Our items range from having never been used to lightly used to showing a lot of wear or age.  We attempt to tell you that.  A lot of times we rely on what our clients tell us about their items.  We attempt to photograph items so that buyers can tell what they are getting.  We have a 100% satisfaction policy.  Please read the TERMS section for more information.

    The weathervanes, windmills, and other lawn and garden items are NEW and are shipped directly from the manufacturer.  These items have a one year unconditional warranty. (as long as they have been properly mounted)  The Ultralight and LSA DVDs are NEW and are kept in inventory.  We do have some items that are New In Box - This will be in the listing.

    RETURNS

    Remember we are a store.  We have normal business hours which are 8 AM to 8 PM --- Mon-Sat EST.  If you email outside of these hours we will not see or be able to respond to you question until the next business day.
    Our return policy is very simple - if you do not like the item for what ever reason send us an email.  Send the item back and you will receive a 100% refund as soon as we receive the item and check to make certain it is as it was when shipped to you. Since most of our items are unique one of a kind items we normally cannot offer a replacement. The BUYER is responsible for paying for the return shipping and this is not refundable.
    Rarely is an insurance claim ever necessary. However, all claims for lost or damaged packages are refunded to the buyer. This is out of our control, and typically takes four to six weeks. We thank you for viewing and bidding on our auctions!

    CHECKOUT - PAYMENT & FEEDBACK

    We expect buyers to complete their check out through eBay check out and to pay for items on check out.  If an item goes unpaid for more than 5 days - it will go to the eBay resolution center.  We leave feedback as soon as payment is complete. We strive for 5 star service on every order.  If you have any sort of problem with your order please contact us and we will do everything we can to correct whatever situation or issue that you have.

    ITEMS AFTER AN AUCTION HAS ENDED

    If an item does not have a Buy it Now price it is an auction item.  WE DO NOT ACCEPT BUY IT NOW OFFERS when an auction is running.  Items that we list  with a Buy it Now price are the only items that have a Buy it Now price.  Once an auction ends we normally re list items.  If an item does not sell after being re listed it will appear in our eBay store with a Buy it Now price.
    We NEVER sell items outside of eBay after an auction ends, we re list the item or move it to our eBay store.

    You are wasting your time and  also our time by asking this or similar questions.  The answer is we rarely offer free shipping,  Any item with Free shipping we be noted in the listing.  We do everything we can to keep our shipping charges low.  We refund excess shipping when an items shipping is significantly less than our fixed rate posted shipping.  There is absolutely no way we can ship any item anywhere to anyone for free.
