This is a very unusual fossil coprolite from a site in South Carolina. Coprolites were uncommon at this site, in fact this is the only one I have! It is unusual also because it is literally covered in bite or gnaw marks! Yes, this coprolite was chewed on when it was fresh! This should make a great fossil for research or a collection. The coprolite measures 1 1/4" (30mm) in length. The winning bidder will receive the exact fossil pictured! It was found in Oligocene age deposits, in the Chandler Bridge Formation, near Goose Creek, South Carolina. The site was in a subdivision known as "The Hamlets". Thanks for looking & good luck. |
