To Measure the width of your window, please including the width of your blinds, curtains, or molding (whichever is the widest) and add a minimum of 1" per side, or more according to personal preference. Also measure the return (projection) that you would like the cornice to be and stand out.
How To Place The Fabric On To The Cornice Boards ….
To install the fabric on to the wood, pull the fabric tightly to the back and top of the panel, and staple in place. Continue by pull the fabric tightly to the left and right size of the cornice board then work your way out from the center. How To Installing Top Treatment….
Tools- Electric Drill with various Dill Bits, level, screw, brakes and pencil.
Step 1- Place the brackets in their proper location. Always use all of the brackets that are provided for you. To install the brackets measure about 3” to 4” from each end. Then install brackets at each location and make sure all brackets are level with each other.
Step 2- Place the top treatment over the brackets. Secure the top boards with the short screws provided. Each hole in the brackets should have a screw.

Q. How do I measure for a any window or bay window?
You can mail in a paper template that match exactly to the window or bay window. Measure the width of your window including blinds, curtains, or molding (whichever is the widest) and add a minimum of 1" per side, or more, according to personal preference. Q. How does your cornice compare to others on the market?
Our product is quite unique. Lightweight, sturdy, and amazingly simple to assemble. We sell are cornice exactly to your size. We apply you with a dust cap already attached to the cornice along with L- Brackets to install with. You have more versatility with our product, as you have different styles to choose from, with different finish lengths.
Q. Can I hang the cornice by myself?
We have found that one person can easily hang a cornice up to 5 feet wide. If your cornice is wider, we suggest that you have an assistant to help you by holding the other end for you.
Q. How Do you ship out your corice boards?
Most products are shipped UPS. Large items can still be ship UPS for about the same cost and cornice can be cut down to size then install back into shape (please email us for more information). We offer the option of Next Day and 2nd Day delivery. Please call for costs for these special services and also provide us with your shipping zip code.
Q. How long will it take to get my order?
For Do-It-Yourself wood cornice, the order generally goes out within 10 days. Of course, there are at times unforeseen delays - but every effort will be made to get all orders out within the specified time frame.
Q. Are the cornice boards fireproof?
The cornices boards have an Open-Cell/ Urethane-Ether Foam, contains a fire retardant and meets California safety standards, the highest in the country. Flammability: MVSS 302
Q. How wide of a cornice board can I order?
All you have to do is let us know what size of a window you have. We will take care of the rest. We specialize in large and small orders. Foam cornices that are over 5 ft. we will have to cut in half for S&H purposes. Wood cornices are really easy to assemble together.
Q. Can I return the cornice board?
For Custom Order - Since the foam cornice are custom made to your specifications, they are not returnable for any reason. Orders cannot be canceled or changed once production has begun.
