This listing is for a very nice lighly used maker marked Cowboy Tack (on the billet ends of crown piece and throatlatch) ready to ride with cutting, working cow horse, reining, roping, barrel racing, western pleasurd horse rawhide braided Old World harness leather headstall with matching rawhide braided Old World harness leather split reins, a harness leather ended flat curb chain and a maker marked copper bar correction port bit that I always thought was a Don Hansen bit until I noticed the maker mark on it when I was taking the photos and found the backwards RB on the left shank and the # whith is either 861 or 198 depending on you look at it.  Cowboy Tack items are becoming more and more difficult to find now that Cowboy Tack is no longer in business and not being made!  Cowboy Tack products were designed and made by working cowboys for working cowboys using the highest  quality materials available!  With normal care Cowboy Tack items will last a lifetime!  The browband style headstall measures 5/8" wide X 42" long when set in the longest hole settings.  It has finely braided natural rawhide on each cheek and on each end of the straight browband.  It has beveled edge stainless steel buckles with braided rawhide keepers on each cheek and the throatlatch, scalloped edge stainless steel conchos at the bit ends, braided rawhide ring knots at the browband ends and it also has a braided rawhide goucho knot with black horsehair shoofly on each side at the browband ends.  The matching water loop tie bit end reins measure 5/8" wide  X 93 1/2" long and have matching braided rawhide on each rein  The reins both have a H stamped on the towards the tail end.  The leather is slightly thicker at the tail end but I not would call them weighted.  The corretion port bit has 8 1/4" long stainless steel cheeks measuring from top of bridle loop to the bottom of the rein loop and the slightly curved 5 1/4" wide copper bar mouthpiece has a 1 3/4" X 1 3/4" stainless steel correction port.  This hard to find bridle would be a great addition to your tack room for your cutting, working cow horse, reining, roping, team penning, trail, barrel racing, western pleasure or show horses or it would make a great everyday using bridle.  The leather is clean, soft supple and has been conditioned with Ray Holes Saddle Butter and the rawhide with Vaquero Rawhide Cream.  The bit has no bends, breaks or repairs.  Thank you for viewing this listing and please check my other listings for maker marked, name brand and handmade items, including complete bridles, headstalls, reins, handmade bits, bosal sets, bosal hangers and other cowboy & cowgirl using gear.  Please email if you have any questions!
