You are viewing a slightly used 616CE Taylor Acoustic Electric Guitar and Case offered by Oklahoma Vintage Guitar. A 616CE looks like a 614CE but the 616CE sounds better. It is very hard to tell the difference in appearance of the two but the 616CE is slightly larger, by 1/8th inch but this makes it sound much better. This 616CE is being sold like-brand new and absolutely spotless. The action is set nice and low with no buzz and it plays super easily and sounds great. It is in the case and has been played less than one hour and it is does't even have any fingerprints on it. The original strings are still fresh and crisp with that great Taylor sound. There are no dings or scratches and no surprises on this one. The Expression system plugs right in and lights it up and it sounds really nice with a sweet woody acoustic sound. The sitka spruce top is nice and straight and the woodgrain on the back and sides is gorgeous.  The entire guitar is finished in a nice even gloss finish.  This is your chance to get one of these great guitars just like brand new without having to pay the new price. A Word About the Tonewood In This Guitar
Sitka Spruce has become an industry standard for high quality tonewoods. It is a very versatile top that works well for all styles of playing. Presently abundant makes it under appreciated, but it is one of the all time best tonewoods. The color is fairly light when new and becomes golden over time. A Pacific Northwest wood.

Big Leaf Maple was considered an unproven "alternative" to the traditional rosewood and mahogany when Bob Taylor started building guitars with it in 1974. Today, maple's high-performance properties have made it a favorite on stages and in recording studios. Its stiff, tight grain produces a clear, bright, compressed, balanced tone capable of cutting through an ensemble mix, and its relatively quick note "decay" gives maple a hedge against feedback. Maple's range of tan coloration and widely varying grain figure — fiddleback, quilted, or highly flamed — make it one of the more beautiful tonewoods.
