Our Vacuum Clamps are made from a clear acrylic with a vacuum seal. Each puck is connected together to cover a large area. You can make your own vacuum table or edge guide. You fasten these down to your bench or a board. We have supplied general manufacturers, guitar manufacturers, CNC shops, cabinet shops, and all kinds of wood shops for their clamping needs. Cabinet installers use these by screwing them to a board with a level and they vacuum attach to the wall. You then can hold your cabinet in place resting on the board while attaching the cabinet to the wall. These can also be attached to a workbench so you can use a router on your work piece, sand or shave the surface of your work piece. When these are set up correctly you can place a wood panel over the pucks, turn on your vacuum pump and you will not be able to pull the panel free. That is how strong the holding force is. Each disk is 2-1/2” in diameter and accepts ¼” tubing. You get FOUR pucks and 6’-0” of ¼” tubing. If you check around you will find that a similar set can sell for over $200.00. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS SECTION:

I have been asked these two questions most and am posting the answers right here. The questions are: What kind of vacuum pump is needed? Where can it be purchased? If you know little about vacuum pumps you will find that when purchasing a pump they are classified in CFM (cubic feet per minute), HP (horse power) and WG (Inches of water). You may ask why is WG the abbreviation for inches of water. The WG actually stands for water gage. Vacuum is sometimes measured using a clear calibrated tube to measure how far the vacuum can pull water up this tube. Usually the top vacuum is about 27 inches depending on where you are, factoring in altitude pressure. A simple vacuum gage can be purchased to measure the vacuum pressure as well. The average vacuum recommended for these clamps is around 24 inches. For this application of vacuum clamps, I look for WG over CFM or HP. The greater the HP the faster you can pull the air from an enclosure or cell. Since the amount of air being pulled from the clamps is so minimal speed is not noticeable between differences in HP. After purchasing the pump I recommend an inline filter to preserve your pump and the vacuum pressure. Now the question of where to buy your pump; you can buy a used pump right here on Ebay or purchase a brand new one through us directly. We recommend a new Gast vacuum pump.
