This lot consists of an excellent quality 100% natural vanilla creme mohair/wool fabric from a coat. It will make up very nicely into teddy bears. The "fur" is short, soft and has a nice furry look. It takes tea-dyeing nicely.

It is most suitable for small to medium bears because the pieces are irregular shapes and sizes and you must place your pattern pieces to best advantage. I have tried to include some larger pieces in each package for the teddy bear bodies, since the limbs, face pieces and ears can be cut from smaller, more irregular pieces.

I am continuing to downsize my large stash of bear-making materials, since I do not make so many bears anymore. One of the problems I have had is that shipping rates for whole coats tend to be high. I came across some coats that I had stripped of their linings and taken apart, and so I have decided to make up some lots that will have the maximum amount of fabric that can be shipped by air at a reasonable price. These lots all weigh just under 500 grams (about 16 oz.) when packaged.

Shipping rates for most international destinations, including Australia, Belgium, Brazil, France, India, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, and the United Kingdom would be as follows: 

Air -  16.00 USD          Surface - 8.50 USD

To the United States:

Air - 9.00  USD          Surface - 7.75 USD

Within Canada: Rates vary between 9.00 and 15.00 USD. Please email me giving your postal code if you would like an exact quote. Because Canada Post hits small packages going to more distant places within Canada with disproportionately higher shipping, you may wish to check out the complete mohair coats that I am listing as time allows.
