A: The recording time will vary with the amount of storage space available on the SD card (not included).  A 2GB card will give about 5 hours worth of recording.

Q: Can this unit record without a memory card?
A: No, there is no built-in memory in this unit.

Q: Does this item come with a USB port?
A: There is no USB port for this unit.  You will need to have an SD card reader to transfer the AVI movies to your computer if you wish to save them.

Q: Can I put this unit in a different car?
A: This can only be done if the other car has the stand for the camera.

Q: How is the unit installed?
A: There is a layer of double sided tape on the bottom of the camera stand that you can use to affix the stand to the dashboard.

Q: Where can I get an SD card?
A: You can purchase SD cards at almost any office supply store, at almost any electronics store, and at many other stores like Target, Wal-Mart, etc. The higher quality SD cards will make better quality recordings.

Q: Can you use this for recording at night / with the car turned off?
A: You can use batteries to have the camera record with the car turned off.  However, the quality is not very good at night - the unit really needs light to record well.

Q: Can you use this to record indoors?
A: It can be used indoors, but you would have to test the image to see how much lighting it would need.  It is best to use it near a window where it gets as much light as possible.

Q: Does it record sound?
A: No, it does not record sound - only video.
