This listing is for a pre-owned very unusual perfume container in the shape of a Greek Mykonos windmill.

The little wind mill is hand painted on a white ceramic background in browns and gold. The shiny gold colored metal blades move freely.

The top of the cylinder pulls out and is a stopper and dauber.  The whole roof is removable and provides access to the solid perfume inside.  I estimate that approximatley half of the perfume is still there.

The original sticker on the bottom says: "Venus Serie Perfume ~ Licence No 081 700 10 119 ~ Greek Production ~ Pallini Attiki ~ Poison Centre Tel 7793777 ~ External Use ~ Made in Greece."

Here are the approximate measurements:

• Height including stopper: 3-1/8"
• Blades: 2-1/8" in diameter
• Base diameter: 2-1/8"

Absolutely darling! A very collectible item with or without the perfume.  Use the perfume up and then enjoy the little cylindrical building.

Most Venus serie perfume bottles are in the shape of an urn.  The Greecian windmill is very unusual.

The Mykonos windmills were originally for grinding grain.  Most are no longer functional, but have much cultural and historical value.
