This is a nice example of a German Bayonet, Model 84/98. It is mounted with a blade that measures 9 3/4 inches in length which remains in superb, original condition and is dated "16" on the spine. The blade is marked on one side "GOTTLIEB HAMMERSFAHR SOLINGEN, FOCHE" and on the other side bears the logo of "BAYARD". The wooden grips also remain very healthy. The blued steel scabbard has a little light scuffing otherwise remains very nice as well. Overall, the Bayonet measures 15 1/8 inches in length. There is no reserve. (please note other items shown as props are not included in this auction)
