A very old cake/bread plate in this rare heraldic crested design made by Wiltshaw & Robinson circa 1890 - 1920 in what they called Carlton China before re-naming to "Carlton Ware". It is white with a shield in the centre having a crown over and a scroll underneath with the words "Earl Sheaton". Above the scroll is the name Nettleton and underneath the scroll is the word "copyright". The plate measures approx. 10.25" x 8.75" and is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. (See backstamp below.)
