ALTHOUGH THIS WONDERFUL OLD DRESDEN PLATE QUILT HAS BEEN QUILTED WITHIN THE LAST 10 YEARS, THE QUILT ITSELF IS VERY, VERY OLD. WITH SMALL SCALLOPED EDGES AND A GLORIOUS FAN POINT BORDER, THIS OLD BEAUTY MEASURES 76" X 95" AND I BELIEVE IS FROM THE 1930'S OR 940'S BECAUSE OF THE OLD FEEDSACK MATERIALS USED. THE BINDING IS LIGHT GREEN AND THE BACKING IS ALL WHITE HERE WITH 9 STITCHES PER INCH. THIS STUNNING OLD QUILT HAS COME FROM AN ESTATE THAT CONTAINS SOME OF THE FINEST ANTIQUE LINENS I HAVE EVER SEEN...THIS IS JUST ONE MORE! I APOLOGIZE FOR THE SHADING AND SHADOWS IN MY PICTURES - I DID NOT REALIZE THEY SHADOWED THE QUILT SO MUCH!
