THIS BASKET WAS MY GRANDMOTHERS.  IT HAS, WHAT USED TO BE ELASTIC, STRAPS UNDER THE COVER FOR SILVERWARE AND GLASSES.  IT IS QUITE LARGE (13" WIDE, 20" LONG, 11" HIGH), QUITE OLD AND MORE THAN A BIT FRAYED, BUY INTACT.  THE HINGES ARE IN GOOD REPAIR BUT THE FRONT LATCH IS MISSING.  IT IS USABLE BUT A BIT FRAGILE.  IT WOULD BE A GREAT DECOR ITEM TO ADD TO YOUR HOME TO USE FOR A FLOWER DISPLAY OR THE LIKE.  AS A COLLECTOR IT WOULD BE A UNIQUE ADDITION.
