This Victorian turn of the century white embroidered pair of cotton layover pillow sham are a delight and would enhance any Victorian bedroom setting. Layover shams do not have a backing, but a slip backing can be sewn on. The embroidery is hand done raised large french knots with cutwork edge and the condition is excellent with no holes or stains and strong with no weakness. A lovely "M" initial. The shams have recently been washed and pressed. The sham measures 33'' square. It is reminiscent of a very grand and regal period in linens. Would look wonderful mixed with other bed pillows making a nice display.
