|
made by Lyon & Healey of Chicago between 1890-1900 (we think 1898 from the stamp), seems to be all original! solid mahogany neck, ebony nut and bridge, ivory tuning pegs. back is done in mahogany and rosewood with maple splines, real tortoiseshell pickguard, oval soundhole. stamped inside "182198", paper tag reads "American Conservatory", neck is straight, NO separations of the back area - still very tight, binding is solid as well and hand etched! there are a few tiny dings but it looks almoot as good as the year it was made. only issues are that the top has 3 thin cracks which still seem tight as well, and the pickguard has some cracks from age. other than that, BEAUTIFUL and seems to be playable and sounds warm even with the cracks. NO CASE. This item is sold AS IS with no implied warranties. Please email us with any questions as there are NO RETURNS! We accept PAYPAL ONLY. Payment is due within 48 hours of auction close. Most of our gear is listed as a ‘project‘ because there is an issue with it that prevents it from being 100% fully functional. It could be something as simple or cosmetic as scratches in paint/finish, a power cord or knob or fader that is missing, a crack in a housing, a light that will not come on, a guitar case with peeling tolex or a split drum head. It may be as serious as a guitar neck that is warped, a headstock that has cracked off, a cymbal that is bent, or mostly items that just will not power up at all. If you like fixing and tinkering with music gear, then these items are for you! If you need any clarification as to why this particular item is listed as a project, please do not hesitate to contact us. |
