This auction is for a striking Triple Irish Chain or Postage Stamp quilt top.  It is approximately 50x50 in size and I'm calling it a piece or section because I believe it was meant as a part of a much larger quilt.  Each piece is 1x1 inch and it is hand sewn.  It is made from cottons and feedsacks.  I estimate its age to be around the 1930's. There aren't any stains, but there are several seams that have popped and some of the pieces are missing.  There are some smudges that should wash out.  The white or solid area of the top appear to be muslin.
