FRESH FROM A PRIVATE COLLECTOR'S ESTATE - VINTAGE 1956 1st edition BOOK TITLED" THE WRECK OF THE MARY DEARE" - BY HAMMOND INNES.  

CONTAINS NAUTICAL BRITISH BLACK AND WHITE ILLUSTRATED MAP.  FINE QUALITY PRINTING AND EXCELLANT COPY.

276 pages in good condition - minor age-yellowing of the pages.  Spine is a fairly tight and intact.  Original light blue cloth coverboards with faded red lettering and has a minor water mark on the front cloth coverboard.  No dustjacket. 

Shows very minor shelfwear with spotting on the front coverboard.  Spine somewhat rubbed and spine edges and tips show a bit of wear - still a fine copy.  No pencil marks and all pages are clean. 

Published 1956 by the Curtis Publishing Co., Copyright 1956 by Hammond Innes.  Contains a two-page illustrated nautical map reproduced from British Admiralty Charts Nos. 2675B and 2100 British Crown Copyright.  The Legend of the Map shows the known course of the Mary Deare and the course of the Sea Witch among other details.
