VINTAGE 1974 GIBSON LES PAUL STANDARD TRIBURST W/CASE!!

Imagine walking into a music store in 1974 and pulling a brand new Gibson Les Paul Standard off the wall......
Well...this is about as close as you can get to that!!!

Here it is... one guitar I thought I would never sell.

This auction is for an absoloutely incredible Vintage 1974 Gibson Les Paul Standard...In near perfect condition!!!
In 1974 Les Paul Standards werent even on the price list, they were Custom or Artist order only.
Many of the one's you see floating around are really just Deluxe's that were routed for full size humbuckers.
This one is a true original Factory built Standard.
As the pictures show...it's in UNREAL condition. It shows virtually no playwear and no fretwear either.
The finish is as vibrant and beautiful as it was in 1974 and you can truly see all 3 color's of the burst.

 And it has loads of Birdseye in the top!!
Most people thought these early Tobacco Standards were only a two color burst (yellow/darkbrown), but as
you can see there was also red in there as well. The red was just the first color to fade usually.

Aside from hanging in a store for a while this guitar has been in its case, always maintained but virtually
unplayed. The original Patent Sticker Number pickups sound incredible and just as strong as day one. The hardware
and tuners ect. all look amazing and virtually unused as well. This guitar sounds just AWESOME! And plays perfectly.
The neck is dead on straight and holds tune all day long. The only marks on the guitar are a slight indentation on
the back, which can be seen in the close up pics but really blends in and some slight marks on the side of the neck/headstock
where the guitar hung in the store. Somewhere I have all the Hang tags, Original reciept and brochure that came with this guitar.
But at present time I am unable to find them, so they are not part of the auction. If they are found they will go to
the winner free of charge. The original pickguard is in the case with the screws,
and I don't know if it was ever even on the guitar, it's perfect as well.
The original case is of course in near perfect shape as well. It's absoloutely stunning to see a 35 year old guitar in the condition.
