This original Japanese doll is made in the traditional manner and is in excellent condition.
He has a gofun (oyster shell porcelain) coated head, glass inset eyes and wooden hands. His body is made from bundled straw and he has natural fibre hair. The 5 layered traditional brocade costume is that of an emperial musician. This type of doll is found during the Hina Matsuri Girl's Festival held in March.
